I’m very happy to share some exciting news with my community, students, and clients.I have recently begun teaching as a tutor with Gateway Workshops, a respected training organisation in the UK that offers accredited courses in massage and holistic therapies.
This new role feels like a natural step in my journey after 22 years of working with the body through massage, Shiatsu, and energy work.
Teaching has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my work, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my experience with new and aspiring therapists.
My journey into bodywork began more than two decades ago with a deep curiosity about the relationship between body, mind, and emotional wellbeing.
Over the years, my practice has evolved through different disciplines, including:
Working with hundreds of clients experiencing chronic pain, stress, trauma, and emotional tension has taught me something very important: The body is always communicating.
When we learn to listen through touch, movement, and presence, the body begins to release patterns that have sometimes been held for years.
This understanding shapes not only my clinical work but also the way I teach.
What I bring to my teaching is not only technique, but embodied understanding.
My teaching style is strongly influenced by somatic awareness and nervous system regulation, inspired in part by approaches such as Somatic Experiencing.
In my classes, students learn much more than massage routines.
We explore:
For me, the most important thing is that students develop confidence, intuition, and authenticity in their work.
Good bodywork is not mechanical. It is relational, attentive, and deeply human.
Gateway Workshops has been providing professional training in massage and holistic therapies across the UK and Ireland for many years.
Their courses allow students to gain recognised and insurable qualifications, making it possible to begin a professional practice in massage therapy.
What I appreciate about Gateway Workshops is their commitment to:
Being invited to join their team of tutors is something I feel truly honoured by.
Teaching is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Watching students discover the power of therapeutic touch, sometimes for the first time, is incredibly inspiring.
Many people who come to learn massage are not only looking for a profession. They are also on a personal journey of understanding the body and supporting others.
Being able to guide that process is something I care deeply about.
Alongside teaching, I continue my work through Heartfelt Hands Therapies, where I offer:
I also offer training and workshops for therapists interested in developing a deeper relationship with touch, movement, and body awareness.
This new role with Gateway Workshops feels like a beautiful extension of everything I have been learning and sharing for more than two decades. And I am excited to see where this new chapter will lead.
If you are interested in training in massage therapy, you can explore my upcoming courses through Gateway Workshops. And if you are a therapist who wants to explore movement, body awareness, and deeper listening through touch, you can also follow my work through Heartfelt Hands Therapies.
The journey of learning the body is endless — and always fascinating.
