In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose touch with our body’s natural rhythm — especially as parents. Between caring for our children, managing responsibilities, and adapting to life’s constant changes, our energy often becomes scattered and depleted.
Inner Qigong offers a way to return to balance. It’s a gentle yet profound practice that harmonises body, breath, and awareness — helping you feel more grounded, calm, and connected to yourself and to life.
Inner Qigong is a mindful movement practice rooted in Traditional Oriental Medicine and the Taoist understanding of life energy (Qi).
It combines breath, movement, and awareness to awaken the body’s inner intelligence and flow of vitality.
Unlike exercise that focuses on strength or flexibility alone, Qigong works on a deeper level — nurturing your energy system and restoring harmony between body, mind, and spirit.
Regular practice of Inner Qigong can help you to:
Reduce stress and calm the nervous system
Improve posture, flexibility, and energy flow
Release muscle tension and emotional holding patterns
Cultivate patience, clarity, and emotional balance
Reconnect with your natural vitality and inner strength
As a parent myself, I understand how challenging it can be to stay centred while navigating our children’s different stages and needs.
Through years of practising Shiatsu and Inner Qigong, I’ve discovered how these ancient practices can help us regain clarity and emotional resilience, even on the hardest days.
This class is especially welcoming for parents who wish to:
Reconnect with themselves amidst the demands of family life
Develop calm presence and grounded awareness
Bring more patience, compassion, and balance into daily interactions
You don’t need any prior experience — just curiosity and a willingness to slow down and listen to your body.
I’m Ruth Patrizzi, a Shiatsu practitioner and teacher of Inner Qigong from the School for Experiential Education (UK).
I’ve been practising Shiatsu and studying Traditional Oriental Medicine since 2004, exploring how movement, touch, and awareness can transform the way we live and relate — to ourselves, our families, and the world around us.
My classes are gentle, inclusive, and deeply experiential — an invitation to move, breathe, and rediscover your own inner wisdom.
